want to get good at LinkedIn?
this is the place.

Welcome to The Gym, the premier virtual community for lawyers ready to attract more attention, business, and opps on LinkedIn.

The problem

You know linkedin matters.
but have been busy honing your craft.

You've spent years building real expertise. But on LinkedIn, you're still invisible.
When you do post (once a quarter maybe), your post gets 3 likes and 200 views.
Meanwhile, you've got 50 other things demanding your attention. It's hard to justify spending time on LinkedIn when your posts largely get ignored.
So you quit.

Sound familiar?

We know how you feel.

That's why...

The answer

we created a gym for building linkedin muscles.

Seth Godin wrote, "The hard part about getting in shape isn't the exercises. It's becoming the type of person who goes to the gym every day."

The same principle applies when it comes to building a LinkedIn network that attracts the attention, business, and opportunities you're looking for.

Getting good at LinkedIn requires that you develop several skills:
- Ideating
- Copywriting
- Storytelling
- Networking in Digital Space

The professionals who look effortlessly magnetic on LinkedIn aren't lucky. They've just been training longer....Or they've hired somebody like us.

how does it work?

We've designed The Gym with yoga studios and MMA gyms in mind.
The calendar of classes and expert clinics are the heartbeat.

He ran his first 100-mile ultramarathon in June and is now training for his second.

The guarantee

Money back. Any time.

Since 2022, I've offered a money back guarantee on the first quarter of every ghostwriting contract we've signed at CONTENDER.

When I said I wanted to offer the same guarantee on The Gym, they called me crazy. Maybe I am.

But here's how I think about it.
If you're a good fit for what we're doing, it'll be a good investment for you. I promise.

And if it turns out you're not a good fit, I'd rather you spend your money on something that WILL help you reach your goals. We'll be fine.

So like at Costco, you can get a refund whenever. Whether you sign on for a quarter or a year, if it doesn't work out, just say the world. We'll send your money back.

Seriously.

FAQ

Q&A

Yes. Very.

Whether you're on a quarterly or an annual membership, you can request a full refund at any time.

We do that because I (Tony) have a genuine love for creative entrepreneurial types. I remember what it was like to make substantial bets with (very) limited resources and just hope they pay off.

I've been doing this long enough to know that if you put in the work on LinkedIn over time, good things will happen.

I'm so confident in what we do—and in YOU—that if we accept you, I'm willing to assume the risk for delivering on our promise to help you build a LinkedIn presence that attracts attention and opportunities.
Most members spend two to three hours a week — one live class plus the reps. Consistency matters more than volume.

That said, if you can find an hour a week in your schedule to focus on growing your LinkedIn network, that can suffice to make real progress.
No, this is not a pod.

A pod is a group of people who share their posts in a common channel so that other members will go engage. The goal is that the initial engagement spurs further reach.

We're not morally opposed to pods. We just think they're the epitome of the saying: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If the engagement you're getting is from people a) you paid and b) who will never hire you, those numbers are empty calories.

We focus on building creative habits, developing content skills, and building your actual network. Increased attention on the platform is a natural byproduct of putting in that work.

You're not expected to make every class (or even a class every week). We know you have a busy life. We're here to give you some accountability and support around your LinkedIn goals. Come work out with us when you can. If you can make even a couple classes a month, you should be able to make meaningful progress.
Most communities have a simple registration page. We've got 2 reasons for approaching that differently.

1. Whether or not you can pay is not our primary way of determining fit. We're building a network that you'll WANT to be a part of, which means we must be intentional about who joins.

2. Because of our Costco-like money back guarantee, we want a level of vetting to make sure we don't just have ruffians coming through to raid the place and bail. ;-)
We want to see more law students active on LinkedIn and have a limited number of spots for you.

Our law student rate is a one-time fee of $67 for the duration of law school.

If that sounds good, go ahead and apply.
Though CONTENDER's focus has been on lawyers, we have had many non-lawyers come through our trainings, bootcamps, and ghostwriting services and do well for themselves.

Feel free to apply.
